It’s a (Social Media) Wrap!
We are proud to have co produced sports magazine show ATP Uncovered since 2011. Presented by Peugeot, the show has a world wide reach of 200 territories and 100 broadcasters. Fans of the show can watch it in full on Sky Sports each week or in bite size features. In this blog, we want share with you an exciting development-the addition of a new feature for the show: Social Media Wrap Up.
As co producers of ATP Uncovered, it is vital for us to keep up with trends that are embraced by tennis players in particular, their social media posts. This is a growth area of communications and for the fans is fantastic to be able to show a more authentic side of the players in these social media videos. And of course, a big part of the appeal of social media is that it is in real time.
The Social Media Wrap Up is a segment in our weekly Uncovered show for Sky Sports which highlights the standout moments from tennis players' social media platforms. #socialmediavideo Share on XAnastasia, Production Manager at Clean Cut Media, is excited about the new segment. She says “I love the integration of Instagram stories. I think it has breathed more life into the programming and makes them more engaging”.
Almost all of the players on the ATP World Tour are active on social media channels, be it them or their teams who are posting. Statista presents some impressive statistics on a number of top male and female tennis players about their Twitter followers. There is a clear appreciation from both sides that social media activity lets fans see a more authentic side of the players.
