Before you begin pouring over hundreds of music tracks, take a moment to reflect upon the following 5 points and how they apply to you:

1. If you are confident that your audience enjoys a very specific genre of music then that’s a really helpful starting point. But if you are trying to appeal to people from different demographics then why not choose a more generic song?

2. Choosing the right track largely depends on the overall purpose of your video. Are you trying to motivate and excite the viewer, or   perhaps evoke more serious feelings such as empathy or responsibility. From here consider the most appropriate tone, is it urgent or more relaxed?

3. Think about the style of your video and where it will be played. Is it an animation video for a company intranet? Or is it a product video for your trade show stand? Visualise the corporate video in situe, this will help you to work out which music will work best.

4. Remember that the video editor is your friend. They will talk to you about the following, amongst other things: the structure of the video, how a track can work with a voiceover you may be using, which parts of the song you particularly want to include.

5. Nailing the right track will add value to your video. If you would like talk to a team of experts about any aspect of your corporate video get in touch with Clean Cut Media.
