Bank Holiday Monday at our Video Editing Company
Every Monday, including bank holidays, our producers, editors and media manager are at work to ‘stitch’ the content for the weekly 26 minute tennis magazine show ‘ATP World Tour Uncovered’. And somehow they manage to do a whole heap of other work too! Here is a description of our busy day.
On a Monday stitch day the different features are all edited together in one broadcast quality television show. High quality graphics are also added. Next, the show is voiced, audio mixed and vision graded. The critical next step is to run it though our legalising software so it is broadcast legal. First thing on Tuesday an experienced editor and producer watch the show to ensure no mistakes have been made. The show is then exported onto a drive and a gold bike courier collects it and takes it to playout so we do not miss our (immovable!) delivery deadline and the big name broadcasters then pick it up and transmit it in their respective markets right across the world.
The penultimate stage at our edit facility is for the show to be sliced up into individual segments for delivery to different social channels. In addition, it is transcribed to enable foreign voiceovers.
Enjoy the magazine show on Sky Sports or www.atpworldtour.com And please check out our case study about this sports show.
In addition to the tennis show, a senior producer is preparing for an exciting new film we are creating for them. Rushes for the edit have come in from New York, Australia, Singapore and London and we are compiling the best bits together before it goes in for a full edit laterthis week.
Whether you work over bank holiday Monday or not, we hope that you had a great day!
