A Date with a Car Promotional Video!
Clean Cut Media was delighted to play a role in the celebrations of Citroën UK’s two year partnership with Channel 4, more specifically to highlight the sponsorship of First Dates. Viewers of this incredibly popular prime time show, are already be enjoying the French brand’s co-creation of bespoke content for the on-demand channel All 4.
Kingston-upon-Thames based digital agency Performance Comms commissioned Clean Cut Media to create a series of promotional videos. These short films took place at the iconic Brands Hatch motor racing circuit and not at the London restaurant that viewers have come to expect! The dates took place in the back of a Citroën C4 as it was being raced around the race track by World Rally Champion Craig Breen.
Now you must be wondering how two people can have a date in a speeding car! Watch our car promotional videos to find out!
The car promotional videos followed the format that avid viewers are used to – apart from one notable difference! (see above). There was a pre-date interview against the well known love heart backdrop. The very real daters had been discovered by Twenty Twenty Television and they were then met by the delightfully personable waitress CiCi. With CiCi, the daters met for the first time sitting in front of a Citroën H van.
CiCi then took the hopeful couple to meet Craig who raced them around the track before being taken for their post date interviews and their ‘will they, won’t they’ want to see each again moment. Of course, this culmination of the date is the post-date interview set in front of the heart backdrop. What a treat for our crew to witness this potentially life changing moment!
Now for the technical bit: We filmed with 4 x Sony F5 cameras and 6 x specially adapted Go-Pro rigs. And in terms of deliverables; We delivered 1 highlight film, 3 x full date films and 5 x social edits.
