The Client: DS Protégées, Taste of London and Performance Communications

The Brief

DS Automobiles wanted to underline their brand spirit of avant-garde. To do this they engaged award winning Chef Pascal Aussignac to train 4 chef protégées in how to create never before seen dishes using pioneering insect ingredients. The protégées then had to recreate them at Taste of London.

The Project

The multi-award winning sports and automotive brand specialists Performance Communications were keen for us to capture the drama of the day. We filmed with two Sony F5 cameras which allowed us to shoot super-slo for the protégées entering the kitchen, we also filmed in S-Log so we could add a filmic and rich grade in post. An interview with Pascal set the scene and was overlaid to tell the narrative arc. We were also aware that the car was the star and added in beautiful car shots to augment the final piece. Each of the protégées also had an interesting story to tell and to cap off a great and interesting shoot the crew got to taste the delicious insect dishes.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team and they remained calm and professional from the outset. Clean Cut Media clearly understood the brief and used their creativity to deliver a beautiful and polished high-end video for our client.
